In Oregon, rhododendrons don't just grow into beautifully flowering bushes -- they grow into trees! This arresting shot was taken in the Chrystal Springs Rhododendron Gardens in southeast Portland. It was a favorite spot of our little family, as there were ponds and ducks to see, as well as the huge blossoms on the oversized trees.
